Amy Wilkens

Amy Wilkens brings nearly 30 years of experience in the dental field and a deep passion for caring for others. Throughout her career, she has found great fulfillment in building meaningful relationships with patients and making a positive difference in their lives through dentistry.

A lifelong traveler, Amy has always enjoyed experiencing new places, cultures, and communities. In 2024, she had the opportunity to travel to Kenya for the first time as part of a dental mission trip. The experience was deeply meaningful and opened her heart to the people and children of Kenya. It also gave her a new appreciation for the powerful impact that compassion, kindness, dental care, and education can have on a child and their family.

Amy is especially passionate about helping children. She believes every child deserves the opportunity to have a healthy smile and to understand the importance of caring for their oral health. Providing dental care and education to children who may otherwise have limited access to these services is especially rewarding to her. She treasures the opportunity to connect with the children, share their smiles, and know that even a small act of service can make a lasting difference.

Her first mission trip to Kenya inspired Amy to continue serving and return to the communities that had touched her heart. She is grateful for the opportunity to combine her love of dentistry and travel with her desire to serve others.

Through her involvement with the Kenya Oral Health Initiative, Amy looks forward to continuing to learn from the people she meets, building meaningful relationships, and sharing her time, experience, and compassion with the children of Kenya. She is honored to be part of this mission and hopes to make a difference—one smile at a time.
